Mac OS X Users Only
It’s no secret that the current Microsoft Office 2004 is in desperate need of a major overhaul. The damn thing doesn’t even run natively on Intel Macs. Powerpoint or Excel on Rosetta - not fun. Not fun at all.
Well, the guys in Washington are working on a brand new version of the most popular office suite - Microsoft Office 2008:mac. Needless to say, it looks fantastic as you can see on the developers’ blog here. But how well does it work? Why don’t you try the beta out for yourself? That’s right, the beta for Office 2008 is now available - but by less than legal means.
If you want to try out Office 2008, here’s what you’ll need. First, a computer running Mac OS X. Check. Second, a program like the one I reviewed today. Check. Third, a quick search on one of the sites mentioned in this forum post. Good - you’re all set.
Have fun with the beta. And no, don’t ask me exactly where to find it. I’m sure you can figure it out on your own.
