Ubuntu 7.10 Beta is Here

Ubuntu Logo Free Software Fanatics, Rejoice!

With a month (or so) to go before the final release of Ubuntu 7.10, the developers have released a beta version of the widely acclaimed Linux operating system for their adoring fans to enjoy. Dubbed as the latest and greatest software that the open source community has to offer, this new operating system has big plans and a load of new features built in, including: the newest version of GNOME, Compiz Fusion, dynamic screen configuration, a desktop search feature, and so much more. I’ve got to say, if you’ve been looking for a reason to dump your copy of Windows Vista - this may be it. My copy of the Gutsy Gibbon is downloading right now, and I’m extremely excited to try it out sometime this evening.

Also of note, the KDE based Kubuntu 7.10 Beta was also released today.
