Wine 0.9.44 Now Available

    Wine LogoPass Me the Bottle.

Since I’m still new to Linux, I haven’t had a lot of time to really check out some of the cooler things that the operating system has to offer. However, I have heard a lot of buzz about this little program called Wine that allows Unix users to run Microsoft programs without the need for Windows. Such a marvelous program just cried out for me to experiment with it, and it really does work just as good as I had heard. Very impressive stuff.

Alas, this is not a review, but rather news of an update for all of you other Wine fans out there. Version 0.9.44 has just been released and is available from a free download on the Wine HQ site. Certainly worth checking out - especially if you’re a Linux user who has just joined the Linux club. After all, Wine is the most popular way to run Windows programs on Linux.

You can download the newest version of Wine here.
