StarOffice Now Part of the Google Pack

    The Google Pack, that collection of free software offered by Google in an attempt to make your Windows experience more fulfilling, has a new program amongst its ranks. StarOffice, a normally commercial program developed by Sun Microsystems, is now offered completely free of charge so long as you download it via Google’s servers. It’s rather strange that Google wouldn’t have included Open Office instead, as they are both essentially the same program - although Open Office is always free. Nevertheless, now is the time to take advantage of this free deal - especially if you are looking for an alternative to Microsoft Word. Now, if only Star Office would get a grammar check…
